Hi and welcome! Today I’m sharing my DT card for Christmas Craft Creations challenge for the month of March. The theme is Christmas Flowers and you can see the details here.
I used the Christmas Rose Bouquet stamp set by Wplus9 and colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. I used embossing folder by We R memory keepers from the Basic Stripes set and lightly ink blended distress ink in brushed corduroy. I added a frame popped on foam tape and also a sentiment from Lawn Fawn set. I also added some splatters and Nuvo Crystal drops in Caramel Latte.
Hi and welcome! It’s again time for the Squirrels Gone Nuts hop and this is my most favorite time of the month! The theme for March is Green with Special Cardstock (we always have a theme and randomly selected supply or technique). If you have arrived here from the wonderful Anna, it means that you are on the right track.
I knew right away that I’ll be making a Spring card and I had the perfect stamp set Finally Spring by Create a Smile (bought it in December but never used). I loved seeing the snowdrops in my Grandma’s garden as a kid and I knew that soon Spring comes.
I stamped the images on newish to me paper Claire Fontaine DCP with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I used YG17 and YG03 Copic markers for the green parts and BV00, C1 and C0 for the petals. Also BG000 to outline all. I fussy cut the images out. For background I used Craft Perfect handcrafted paper called Geometric Galaxy. For a bit more interest I cut twice a frame out of white cardstock. Dies are from Tonic Craft kit 14 and if you still haven’t figured it out, I try to use dies from these kits every month 🙂 . I stamped and heat embossed in clear my sentiment onto a tag from another Tonic Craft kit, I believe it was number 32. I used leftover piece of white/green twine to attach the tag to the frame. I added foam squares behind the top parts of the snowdrops for a bit more dimension.
Once I had all adhered onto a white cardbase, I added a light green sequin on the knot of the twine and filled it in with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. Lastly, added clear Wink of Stella.
This month I have also a video:
Please, head over to the sweet V’s blog. I hope you’ll enjoy the hop 🙂
Hello and welcome! This is our second instalment of the Squirrels Gone Nuts year-long hop. Theme for February is Friendship with a Shaker and you should have arrived here from the amazing V.
I always connect Friendship with Flowers so a floral stamp was a must. I picked Waffle Flower’s Bouquet Builder 3 (barely used). I remember receiving it two years ago on my birthday and there was a sweet note from the shop owner; that really made my day. I even found already stamped images in my scrap box. Not so perfectly stamped on few places but that wasn’t bothering me. So at this point I had to decide how to make the shaker. Originally, I wanted to use a shaker window (never used before) but it simply wouldn’t work. So I looked through my Tonic Craft kits (rarely used) and in kit 13 there was the perfect die to create the window. Picture of the used supplies below. The sequin mix was in the same order as the stamp set 🙂
I die cut two panels with the stitched rectangle die (size A6). On the first one I marked on all four sides 1.5 cm from the stitching and made guide lines with a pencil. I also marked the centre of the panel and also the die I was going to use. Then I lined it up as shown on the picture and ran it through my die cutting machine. After that, I aligned the die with the top pencil line and again cut it out. Now my shaker window was ready.
I used my Copic markers to color the florals and I tried to use colors as close as possible to the colors of my sequin mix.
On my second panel I ink blended Distress inks in Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Seedless Preserves. It was time to assemble the shaker.
I managed to hide those not so perfect places with aditional images and the sentiments from SSS – Tiny Words stamp set. Added Wink of Stella in clear on all of the flowers and that was it.
Hello, crafty Friends! Welcome to the Squirrels Gone Nutz: a whole year-long hop! I’m so excited to be joining the Squirrel Sisters (Anna, Karen, Marie and V. who formed the Squirrel Squad at the Collected Crafty Collabs hops if you remember) and two other lovely Squirrels: Lounon and Tasha 🙂 . In this fun collab we’ll be using again supplies from our stash (let’s be honest, we all hoard craft supplies… or forget to use… ). The theme for January is “New (Year, Baby and so on) with Leftovers (optional)” and you should have came here from the sweet and creative Lounon.
I went through my stash of backgrounds and scraps and I found few colored leftovers from the Simon Says Stamp – “Pretty Peonies” background stamp. I’m sorry, I didn’t even think of taking a picture… but I have a quick video and all is shown in there. Only one looked good enough to me, made with Nuvo shimmer powders, the other two pieces needed some more color to the background or to the florals. The next treasure that I found was a card front sized white (with gold shimmer) pearlecent cardstock that I thought will match the brass heat embossing on the peonies from that scrap piece. It took me some time to figure out the card design but I decided to use a die from Tonic Craft kit 18 and sentiments from Tonic Studios – “Summer Flowers” stamp set: “Wishing you another year full of happiness and love” and “Happy Birthday” for the inside. Golden metallic cardstock strips helped me cover up my not so straight die cutting 😀 I glued all the pieces together and that’s it.

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter / holiday card with a digital stamp image and watercolors.
The stamp is “Christmas Cheer” by Graciellie Design and I printed it on watercolor paper. The sentiment is by Tonic Studios, stamped on vellum and heat embossed in gold.
I used Altenew watercolors for the whole image. Then added pearl pigment powder in Silky Gold mixed with a drop of water (ot the saucer) and sealed it with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. I also added Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone to the Poinsettia.
Hi! It’s time for our Collected Crafty Collabs hop for the month of October and it’s also time to dig through my stash and find something I haven’t used for a while 🙂
Theme for this month is Thankful and/or Foil/Shiny element.
For my card I chose to use a stamp set from Wplus9 called “Beautiful Bouquets: Dahlias” that I used probably just once … two years ago (or a bit more?). I stamped and heat embossed the image in Brass embossing powder by WOW! on Bristol smooth paper and I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color. This time I went with a blender pen, just because I rarely use it. The sentiment is from an older Tonic Craft kit and I heat embossed it using the same Brass embossing powder.
For the shiny element on my card I used gold paper from my stash (I bought tons of it long ago but because it’s so thin, I don’t really use it) and also shiny sequins by Tonic Studios.
Hello! Today I’m sharing a very quick and easy round shaped card.
I used leftover Distress inks what I had on my palette to watercolor the Flora Background by Simon Says Stamp stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I didn’t leave the golden ink fully dry, which gave a nice and even glittery coat. It’s almost impossible to capture it on the pictures but it is better seen in my process video.
I went for a circle shaped card with a mirrored frame and I also added the sentiment “Paljon Onnea” which is “Congrats” in Finnish. Added few more extra details and the card was done.
Hello! I was playing with my blue alcohol markers and trying out different color combinations. I used my two Nuvo sets and the three Copic markers that I own. But first I stamped the beautiful floral image from the Friendship Blooms stamp set (Hero Arts and Gina K. Designs) with alcohol friendly ink and started coloring.
Here is a process video with all the combinations I came up with as well as how I made the card:
