Christmas Craft Creations – Music

Hi! It’s a new month and we are having our new challenge at Christmas Craft Creations. I’m jumping in with the launch team but I’ll have one more card to share when my team’s turn is. Christmas is coming closer so I really need to focus more on making those projects πŸ™‚

October’s theme is Christmas Music so when I saw the digital stamp Angel Tart at 7 Kids Craft Store I thought she looks like singing and will be perfect. I colored her with Copic markers but I don’t have a video showing the process. However, I have a video on how I made the rest of the card.

I used Picture It Christmas background stamp by Clearly Besotted and also stamped twice a present from another stamp set. I made an attempt at creating Northern Lights with a twist. Because I don’t have wide variety of blue markers, I tried using distress ink on top and yey, it worked πŸ™‚ I ink blended light blue for snowy hills and colored the rest of the images with my Copics. I used white gloss spray for falling snow and I also added few music notes around the angel. I thought that ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ is just the perfect sentiment for this card. Lastly I added some more snow with white gel pen and Nuvo Crystal glaze on the ornaments and bows.

Please, check the project inspiration from the rest of the team. Challenge closes November 10th and we have a prize πŸ™‚ I hope you will get inspired to play along with us!

Have a great day!

Penguins Birthday Party

Hi, friends! Remeber my Summer penguin card? I decided to continue the story and create an Autumn scene card for our Team Tiny hop for the month of October. And because the theme is Birthday, I made an outdoor Birthday party πŸ™‚ Same as my previous penguin card, I used the All Four Seasons stamp set along with Scene It More and Scene It Seasons all by Clearly Bessoted… yes, I think I have an obsession with this stamp company πŸ™‚ I added some more images from few more stamp sets to make the party more fun. I used mainly Nuvo markers and few Copics as well.

You can check how I made it here:

Closer look.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Christmas Craft Creations – Shaped Card

Hi! Today I am sharing my project for the Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog πŸ™‚

This month’s theme is Shaped Card so I decided to make a round one. For my cardbase I simply cut out two circles, scored one at like 1 inch and adhered them together only on that part. I used a Marianne Design’s doily die and Nellie’s Choice Conifer branches dies. The poinsettia and the leaves are from Simpn Says Stamp’s The Magic Of Christmas set and I colored them with my Copic markers (kind of a no-line coloring).

Round Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing a very quick and easy round shaped card.

I used leftover Distress inks what I had on my palette to watercolor the Flora Background by Simon Says Stamp stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I didn’t leave the golden ink fully dry, which gave a nice and even glittery coat. It’s almost impossible to capture it on the pictures but it is better seen in my process video.

I went for a circle shaped card with a mirrored frame and I also added the sentiment “Paljon Onnea” which is “Congrats” in Finnish. Added few more extra details and the card was done.

You can see the video here:

With this project I am entering Jehkotar Craft Challenge # 58 Bingo rivi: Jotain leimattua – PyΓΆreÀÀ muotoa – VesivΓ€rit.

Penguins on Vacation

Hello! These little penguins decided to spend their summer vacation on the beach: having some yummy ice cream, building sand castles, swimming and surfung and just having fun.

For this slimline card I used three Clearly Besotted stamp sets:

  • All Four Seasons
  • Scene It Seasons
  • Scene It More

I stamped the two beach images at the two opposite sides of my card panel. Then I stamped all of the penguins and the other small images. I joined the first two stamped images together by just drawing the shore line and creating an island using a black pen . I put masks on all and used distress inks for the sand and the sky. Once that was done, I colored all with alcohol markers and added some more details to the sand and the sea. I used snow marker for the sea foam, Glossy Accents on some of the accessories and clear Wink of Stella.

Once all was dry, I matted my card panel onto kraft cardstock and adhered all onto my card base.

I think I’ll be back with more penguin activities cards πŸ™‚

Thank you for stopping by and have a fun day!

CCC July Blog Hop

Hi! It’s again time for the Collected Crafty Collabs (CCC) hop πŸ™‚ The theme for July is Outdoors and/or Patterned Paper. I really love the idea of digging through my (not so big) stash and finding those supplies that are left unloved for quite some time.

The stamp set that I chose to use is Party Pals from Avery Elle and it’s one of my first ones. I haven’t used it for over an year! Patterened paper is something that I struggle with in card making. I have mainly 12×12 and 8×8 paper packs which are great for my mini albums but not really for cards… I don’t know how to incorporate them plus I love to color. So, I went on Pinterest and looked through the hundreds of card sketches but none of them seemed to be “The One” that I would want to use. Since this didn’t help I started looking through my stash and realized that I have papers from a cardmaking magazine that I never used. So I picked two patterns that were kinda going well together. I stamped the panda and the kitty holding the banner and masked them so I can do a simple ink blending for my outdoor scene. I didn’t get a good blend tho so I blame the cardstock πŸ˜€ It is Transotype – Perfect Coloring Paper, first time using it for ink blending and have used it just few times for coloring (not really liking it). I used Copic markers to color the stamped images. For the assembly of the card I didn’t do anything fancy, just glued all down flat. As finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the noses and over the letters of the banner and some iridescent star confetti here and there.

CCC June Blog Hop

Hi friends! I am a member of the Collected Crafty Collabs (CCC) group which is a small group of bloggers who come together for monthly challenges. This month’s theme is Critters and/or Stencils.

For my card I chose to use two mini stamp sets from Lawn Fawn: “So Jelly” and “Seahorsin’ Around” and a Dutch Doobadoo’s stencil “Triangle Wave”. I used a wreath builder template and stamped four times the octopus and one of the seahorses to create a circle. Then, I stamped the star in the center but a bit off side so that I can add a sentiment later. I masked them all (didn’t bother masking the legs of the octopuses) and ink blended Distress ink in Tumbled Glass all over the card panel. After that I applied Salty Ocean Distress ink through the stencil.

For the coloring I picked alcohol markers in bright and happy colors: pinks and purples for the octopuses, blues and greens for the seahorses and yellows for the star. I added details with Stardust and White Gelly Roll pens, a little bit of sparke with Clear Wink of Stella (I can’t have a card without sparkle πŸ˜€ ) and Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard. And I almost forgot to add the sentiment. Stamped “You’re a star” in black and heat embossed in clear. I trimmed a bit the card front on each side so it is a bit smaller than my card base (4×4) and before adhering all together, I also ink blended Cracked Pistachio Distress ink just around the edges.

So hard to capture the glittery details…

Thank you so much for stopping by! I am so excited to see what my crafty friends create. You should have come from Charlotte and your NEXT STOP on the hop is Lounon .

Have a great day!

Another Coffee Cup

Hello! I have another coffee cup card to share using the third digital stamp from the Coffee Queen stamp set by Graciellie Design. I had previously colored the cup with my Nuvo alcohol markers and had put generous amount of Glossy Accents all over so that the cup looks like porcelain. This was a last minute card so I used a scrap piece of patterned paper on which I stamped the sentiment (in Finnish) ‘Happy Nameday’. Background is dry embossed with stencil and there is a little bit of ink blending.

Have a great weekend!
