Hi and welcome to the Christmas Craft Creations challenge for the month of March. The theme is “Slimline” and you can read all the details on how to join here.
I’m sorry for my rushed post with just a brief explanation but I’m doing all in the last minute… For my card I went with Easter as Spring since I didn’t find any fitting stamps or dies in my stash, except snowdrops that I used last year for the same hop. Used Lawn Fawn sets that I have barely used. I Googled “edge stamping and die cutting” and I found few videos from Jennifer McGuire. I followed one of examples she showed: stamping all of the images on the card base and one more time on the card front, then partially die cutting both and adhering together when all colored. And cutting the bottom part off for the die cut edge look. I was pretty scared of the die cutting, mainly of the dies shifting because my cutting plates are really warped. I used Distress inks and stencils for the background and added few more fussy cut images. I did not die cut both pieces exactly the same so I had a bit of white showing from my card base. I used a marker to color around and a bit hide the imperfections.
Inside the card I added a grassy hill and left space for my sentiment:
So, that’s all from me. Next stop is sweet Marie but I hope you’ll go through all of the stop to see the amazing creations!
