Hi and welcome! Today I am sharing a set of 4 mini cards for the July’s Christmas Craft Creations challenge. The theme is “Anything Goes” and you can find all the details here.
I used one sheet of 6×6 Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper pad and cut it into 4 pieces and adhered onto 3×3 card bases. Then I stamped and die cut the images from Lawn Fawn’s Thanks a Latte set. I picked alcohol markers matching the patterned paper and colored all. The sentiment is “Merry Christmas” in Finnish. The whole idea behind this set of mini cards is that I always make some kind of treat bags/baskets filled with hot cocoa, cookies and sweets for my family and friends.
I added lots of clear Wink of Stella 🙂 which you can see better here:
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you’ll play along!
Hi and welcome to the Squirrels Gone Nuts hop! The theme is Christmas in July and the randomly selected supply is acetate. If you are not familiar with our hop, we are a group of crafty friends (the Squirrel Squad) that come together every month to create projects using supplies we’ve squirreled away 🙂
For my shaker card I mainly used stuff from my stash. I had few other ideas but, as happens lately, I didn’t have the time to do more. The background piece was stamped with white pigment ink and left aside to completely dry. I saw Jennifer McGuire showing some cool technique (I don’t really remember the name but it was something like “invisible inking”…. I’ll update it later with the proper name). So I had this piece sitting in my drawer for few months and I thought it’s quite time to use it. I ink blended Distress inks: Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles. Then I found the Poinsettia and the Eucalyptus leaves (again from my stash from years ago) and I thought that they work well with the background. Only thing I did was to die cut a frame for my shaker and also the Conifer branches from white cardstock. I used mainly white sequins but also added a bit of green and gold to tie it all together.
So, that’s all from me. Next stop on the hop is the amazing Karen. There are just few of us, so please hop along to see all the creations, you won’t regret it 🙂
