CCC October Blog Hop

Hi! It’s time for our Collected Crafty Collabs hop for the month of October and it’s also time to dig through my stash and find something I haven’t used for a while 🙂

Theme for this month is Thankful and/or Foil/Shiny element.

For my card I chose to use a stamp set from Wplus9 called “Beautiful Bouquets: Dahlias” that I used probably just once … two years ago (or a bit more?). I stamped and heat embossed the image in Brass embossing powder by WOW! on Bristol smooth paper and I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color. This time I went with a blender pen, just because I rarely use it. The sentiment is from an older Tonic Craft kit and I heat embossed it using the same Brass embossing powder.

For the shiny element on my card I used gold paper from my stash (I bought tons of it long ago but because it’s so thin, I don’t really use it) and also shiny sequins by Tonic Studios.

Here is a quick video tutorial:

You should have came from sweet Karen’s blog and your NEXT stop on the hop is lovely Virginia’s blog.

Thank you for stopping by!

  3. Bory your card is absolutely gorgeous! I love florals and don’t make enough cards using the floral stamps I have. Thanks so much for giving me a reminder and a push to get those out!

  4. So, so pretty, Bory! Loved to see how you used an older stamp set (which I own and love) and the foil paper you wouldn’t normally use! The results are so pretty!!! I love your coloring and you have inspired me to pull out my Zigs for a future month’s hop! I’m so thankful to have you hopping with us!

Your colouring is gorgeous and I love how you have cut the sentiment!!
I have lots of papers like that too, where it is really thin so I don’t end up using it…Great idea to use for matting instead!
