Hi! It’s again time for the Collected Crafty Collabs (CCC) hop 🙂 The theme for July is Outdoors and/or Patterned Paper. I really love the idea of digging through my (not so big) stash and finding those supplies that are left unloved for quite some time.

The stamp set that I chose to use is Party Pals from Avery Elle and it’s one of my first ones. I haven’t used it for over an year! Patterened paper is something that I struggle with in card making. I have mainly 12×12 and 8×8 paper packs which are great for my mini albums but not really for cards… I don’t know how to incorporate them plus I love to color. So, I went on Pinterest and looked through the hundreds of card sketches but none of them seemed to be “The One” that I would want to use. Since this didn’t help I started looking through my stash and realized that I have papers from a cardmaking magazine that I never used. So I picked two patterns that were kinda going well together. I stamped the panda and the kitty holding the banner and masked them so I can do a simple ink blending for my outdoor scene. I didn’t get a good blend tho so I blame the cardstock 😀 It is Transotype – Perfect Coloring Paper, first time using it for ink blending and have used it just few times for coloring (not really liking it). I used Copic markers to color the stamped images. For the assembly of the card I didn’t do anything fancy, just glued all down flat. As finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the noses and over the letters of the banner and some iridescent star confetti here and there.

Thank you for stopping by! You should have come from Katy’s YouTube channel and your NEXT STOP on the hop is Tracy’s blog.
Have a great day!
